Sam Hui – Immediate Past President

Sam was an Electrical Engineer who worked extensively in the electrical and electronics industries in Australia and overseas. He was employed in the areas of Project Management and Quality Assurance in the Infrastructure construction industry, in particular the transport systems and water supply projects. His community involvements included the Hong Kong Club and other professional associations as well as Chinese region orientated community groups including See Yup and Ningyang (Taishan) Societies.

Sam was one of CPBA representatives on the Australian Chinese Events Committee, a co-operative committee consisting of 9 local Chinese clubs and associations who work together to organise the premium Chinese New Year Charity Ball raising funds for a host of Victoria based charities.

When not busy with community works, He dabbled in Video Editing, desktop publishing and Non-English Computer applications such as Chinese and other Asian languages. For relaxation he did a little bit of Ballroom dancing and singing.

Sadly, Sam passed away in October 2010 after succumbing to cancer.
