It’s been a while since I have updated you with the what’s happening at CPBA.
We are still alive and kicking!
With more members and projects under our hat .. here’s a rundown.
I know some of you have read all this on the CPBA LinkedIn and FB pages but this is for the benefit of those who are not on and do not follow social media.
Health and Charity-wise, CPBA have Mental Health Foundation Australia, MHFA, as a charity partner.
CPBA is also involved in the Chinese Health Promotion Coalition, CHPC.
Both deal with bringing awareness to multi-cultural communities, supporting those living with mental illness or Chronic Hep B and removing the stigma.
It’s OK to seek help, to find out more.
Prevention is always better than cure.
You are not a superhuman that is untouchable .. illness and health problems affect us all in some shape or form, either directly, to those we hold near and dear and acquaintances, colleagues ..
With this in mind, I am hoping to hold events supporting these two organisations, MHFA and CHPC, in the future.
Growing another arm – we are building a Young Professionals group.
We have a sub-committee in place.
eeking young professionals to join the YP program at CPBA.
What’s in it for them? Mentoring, Social Activities, Career Progression, Networking Opportunities but most importantly, support from your peer group!
A place to meet, socialise, discuss issues.
There will be events specifically catered for the YP’s.
Events – we have held a few – not everyone can make the events and the topic/type of the event may not appeal to everyone.
That’s why, I value your input to see what we can do to make it a worthwhile experience for you.
Our end of year event is expected to be in December, please keep an eye out for the notice of this.
AGM is fast approaching and set to be on 31st October 2018 for financial members.
Details will be sent out soon.
If you wish to attend, it’s not too late to become a member 🙂
